Bishop Chris Marere teaches us how to have true peace in a troubled world.
Summary
A troubled heart does not produce faith but produces fear. God wants to deliver us from a troubled heart by looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. As we look to our problems we magnify and empower them. As we look to Jesus we find freedom and fullness of life.

- When Chris was coming to America, the devil tried to get him to fear that the plane would crash.
- Chris told the devil that he is not going to die, but to do the will of God.
-
The devil wants to get your attention and then sow seeds that will make you lose focus.
- Jesus foretold all of the troubles that would happen in the last days but encouraged us to not be troubled.
- Today there are wars and rumors of war around us, but there is also war within. We go through so many things, yet when we are experiencing internal war, we need to hear Jesus tell us to not let our hearts be troubled.
- The reason is that a troubled heart is not a believing heart. You cannot have a believing heart and a troubled heart at the same time.
-
When you give in to a troubled heart, you get what you focus on.
- Your eyes will drift from Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith to your trouble.
- You begin to not believe in what God wants to do for you.
- We are to take heed that we are not troubled, it is important to attend to our hearts and not allow any seed of anxiety or trouble creep in.
- We have to protect our hearts.
- Out of the abundance of the heart our mouth speaks.
-
Our heart is the seat of life and we need to protect.
- When our hearts are troubled we are vulnerable.
- There are things that happen around our lives, families, work, our nation and the nations that can cause trouble in our hearts.
- When we see all of these things we are to lift up our eyes and behold our salvation.
- God is near to save and deliver us.
- We need to run to Him, because He is our sufficiency.
-
If our heart is troubled, it will not produce faith but fear.
- Without faith it is impossible to please the Lord.
- If we are troubled over our job, family, our children or things happening around us, we need to guide our hearts to not be troubled.
- The just shall live by faith, faith sustains us.
- We need to trust God in times in times when we are not sure what will happen next.
- We need to look up and trust God and His promises.
- God will not fail.
- God will fulfill His promises in our life.
-
God never forsakes us.
- It is man that forsakes God.
- God is always there and wants to help us like a parent is there for their child.
- God love us and cares for us even in the midst of all we go through He is there.
- God wants us to put our trust in Him and not in our circumstances.
- We need to look to Him and trust He is able to do more than we think or ask.
-
All troubles that come will eventually pass, they did not come to stay.
- David talked about walking through the valley of the shadow of death, not that he stays there.
- Sometimes when we go through the valleys of life we need to not be afraid.
- The staff and rod that God gives us is encouragement and correction.
- When we look up we see reason to continue.
-
No matter what you are going through there is victory for you.
- There is victory for the battle you are going through.
-
The heart of men in the world fail them because of the troubles in the world.
- This is because men do not know their heavenly Father who is there to help us and carry us through.
- We will have seasons of trouble, trial and difficulty but they are only seasons which will pass.
- God wants to encourage us that He is leading us through trouble to victory.
-
In Revelation, the black horse bringing judgment was commanded not to harm the oil and wine.
- The oil and wine are believers.
- The world be judged but the saints will be secured.
- His promises will sustain us and His promises will keep us.
- No matter what happens around us, we are secure in God.
- When the world is going down, there is a lifting up for believers.
- The glory of God will rise upon His people as we arise and shine.
-
Do not allow your heart to be troubled.
- God never promised we will not have trouble, but that He will be with us.
- He will always be with us.
- The question is whether we will be with Him.
