Come and Be Satisfied

Jesus is the only one who truly satisfies our souls.

Jesus is the only one who can satisfy our souls, and He satisfies us in every way.  Pastor David Joiner teaches us about the ways Jesus meets the longing of our souls and how we are able to connect with Him.

    1. God wants to put a new song of joy in our hearts.
    2. God tells us to expect great blessings.
    3. God does not want us to walk in fear.

    1. Satisfy your thirst.
    2. Satisfy your hunger.
    3. Satisfy your soul.
    4. God gives us promises throughout the whole Bible – He wants us to flourish.
  3. Satisfy your thirst.
    1. We become especially thirsty during dry times, both naturally and spiritually.
    2. God wants to replenish our souls.
    3. In dry times in the natural, sometimes it costs money to obtain water, but God gives it to us freely.
    4. There are many things in the world that promise to satisfy our thirst, but they do not, only Jesus truly satisfies our souls.
  4. Come Satisfy your hunger.
    1. When we are spiritually hungry, we are walking around in pain.
    2. God does not want nominal Christians who go to church and believe the message is always for someone else.
    3. Hunger alerts us for a need of nourishment.
    4. Christianity, like marriage, does not deteriorate over time, but gets better and better.
    5. We need to walk in passion.
    6. Blessings are promised to the spiritually hungry.
    7. Human efforts to satisfy spiritual hunger fail, only Jesus satisfies.
  5. Come satisfy your soul.
    1. Often people are dissatisfied, always negative, missing something…what it is that we need is Jesus.
    2. Everyone wants to be fulfilled, but it can only be through Jesus.
    3. There are many things people pursue that they think will satisfy them, but when they achieve them, they realize they are still empty.
    4. There are all kinds of counterfeit Christs that do not truly satisfy our souls.
    5. We are invited to a feast in Christ that is free and truly satisfies.
  6. How do we connect with Jesus?
    1. Through the Word.
    2. Through mentorship.
    3. Through community.
    4. Through prayer.
  7. God wants us to be so transformed by His goodness that we become a living epistle.
    1. We are not to blend in with the world, but to shine like a light.
    2. God wants you to have a time of spiritual refreshment.
    3. God wants you to have peace in your life.
