Getting God’s Word Beyond the Church

Watch the Video!

God wants to bring the blessings of Christ to the world as we proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the marketplace.

Summary

Bishop Ron Rhea brings a powerful message of how God’s word works mightily in the marketplace when believers boldly proclaim the Kingdom of God.  In order for such ministry to be a blessing rather than a burden, it must proceed from lives that are filled with the knowledge of God and the joy of the Lord.  God wants us to believe His word so that we experience the blessing he has freely bestowed on us in Christ so that we have a passion to share that blessing with others.

Outline

  1. God’s Word is Prophetic for all of us:

    1. Without a plan/vision we do not go anywhere.
    2. Reasons why he is preaching often – traditionally he has shared his pulpit regularly.
      1. When preaching – if you want to truly bring what the Holy Spirit desires, you need to spend time in prayer and time working with it.
      2. God laid it on Bishop Rhea’s heart to teach some of the great truths of the Bible.
    3. The goal of the leadership of the church is to draw people to Jesus.
      1. Next month the emphasis will be on ministries to build them up.
      2. They want to drive home the truth that the Kingdom of God does not grow by wishing, but by plowing.
    4. It is time to wake up and not be asleep.
    5. It is time to not be carnal, especially when approaching His throne.
    6. WE HAVE EXCITING THINGS GOING ON!
    7. We need to break out of the mindset of sitting in the pews and expecting growth.

  2. Mike Torres Testimony – Getting the gospel out in the marketplace.

    1. On second shift now – a lot of hours.
    2. The Holy Spirit has been present – lots of opportunities to witness to people.
    3. Friday – talked about how God loves people and the miracles he is working in a conference at work.
    4. Atheist – shared on Friday with him concerning the gospel.
    5. God is meeting us where we are at.
    6. As we go, God is working through us.
    7. God is releasing the gifts of the Spirit to touch people’s lives.
    8. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO GO IN HIS NAME!

  3. We do not need to be slack in doing the work of the Kingdom.

    1. The word of God does not come back void when we preach it – it penetrates people’s lives.
    2. We were all in darkness once, but the gospel broke into our lives.
    3. Let us multiply the preaching of the Word to the marketplace.
    4. God’s word going out is necessary for the kingdom to grow.
    5. The principles God ordained for the church, the world uses successfully.
    6. You have to dig up the fallow ground – this is a spiritual principle.
      1. The only way the ground is broken up is when we proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God.
      2. There are too many “secret agents” in the church.

  4. 2 Kings 7:1 – Elisha – prophesies the turning of the tide on the siege.

    1. God is still speaking today – to the church here, the church at large, to the nation, to us individually – GOD IS SPEAKING.
      1. His word is for the purpose of blessing people.
      2. Faith resides in what we see with our spiritual eyes.
    2. The prophet spoke the Word, but the official did not believe.
      1. Because he didn’t believe – he would see the prophesy come to pass, but would not partake of the blessing of it.
    3. Only those who hear and believe get to partake of the blessings of God’s word.

  5. God sovereignly used four lepers to fulfill His prophetic word.

    1. Their circumstances drove them to act – they had common sense (which is often spiritual) to deal with their situation.
    2. They found that the Lord had scattered the whole army of the Syrians – they completely fled and left all of their possessions.
    3. THERE IS NOTHING GOD CANNOT DO
    4. God is waiting for people to speak and believe His word.
    5. They were the first to partake of God’s blessings.
    6. They stashed plunder, but good sense kicked in again and they went and reported the victory of the Lord.
    7. They reported it to the King, but he thought it was a trap.
      1. He didn’t trust the word of lepers.
      2. He was thinking like a king.

  6. God’s Word Came to Pass Just as Elisha Prophesied.

    1. In the natural, there was no way for such things to happen.
    2. God wants to intervene supernaturally in people’s lives.
    3. We need to exercise our authority as believers:
      1. Not “name it claim it.”
      2. It is believing and standing on God’s word and living in His presence.
    4. Like the official above, some still do not believe God’s word – even that of a prophet who had a perfect tract record.
      1. God’s Word, Jesus, has a perfect track record.

  7. God can bring a word and instead of receiving the fruit of it, we can be trampled on by the wiles of the devil.

    1. If we do not renew our mind in Christ, the devil has a roadmap into our lives to rob us of God’s blessings for us.
    2. The church today needs to get free from such carnal thinking.
    3. We need to filter things through the Spirit of God and through faith.

  8. God is speaking to us.

    1. We need to stir ourselves up.
    2. God will not force us to believe, nor to do His will.
    3. Instead, God stirs us up to believe and act.
    4. DO NOT GROW WEARY!
    5. The prophetic word is to bring forth a sign that God is with His people.
    6. God cares about our desires, but God has His own desires:
      1. For the lost to be saved.
      2. For the church to wake up.

  9. Phillipians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always.

    1. Rejoicing is the natural result of authentic Christianity.
    2. When we are truly alive, our faith is reproductive.
    3. The seeds we sow will bear fruit when we are truly alive in Christ – they will continually spring to life in people’s lives.
    4. Modern Christianity has deceived dead people to believe they are alive in Christ.
      1. Such people believe nothing more than demons believe.
      2. They have not truly been born again.
    5. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6–7, NKJV)
      1. We need to trust God.
      2. We need to pray.
    6. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:8–9, NKJV)
      1. We need to meditate on the truth of God’s word so that we filter things through truth rather than through other things such as unhealed wounds.
      2. Renewed minds receive the blessing of the Lord.
    7. “But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.” (Philippians 4:10, NKJV)
      1. We have been a giving church, we need to continue to give as a church to those in need.
      2. God is in the business of blessing.
    8. We need to learn to be content in Christ

  10. Sometimes you need to get real with God.

    1. Testimonies of God breaking through for people who got real with God from the midst of the congregation.
