Our Spiritual Diet

We need to eat many different things in order to be spiritually healthy.

Summary

God is doing a mighty work at Life Springs Church, and it is time for us to see what He is doing so that we can cooperate with Him.  God is raising up Life Springs as a model of team ministry because He wants His people to be complete and mature in Him.  God has placed His gifts in the midst of His people, and now He is speaking a word which is activating the gifts that He has entrusted to His church.

Outline

  1. Team Ministry.
    1. Life Springs Church is living out team ministry.
    2. Unlike many other churches, Life Springs shares the pulpit because that is Bishop Ron’s value.
    3. It is essential because we need a balanced diet of ministry.
    4. As different ministers preach, the body matures because different gifts are being released into the body.
    5. God has been introducing new things into our spiritual diet.
  2. The prophet’s mandate.
    1. It is not to prophesy, but is to help people to recognize God’s voice in their own life.
  3. What Eric Jones has seen at Life Springs over 12 years.
    1. God is doing a perfecting work.
    2. Year by year God has been making changes and adjustments.
    3. The first major thing that happened was the debt being paid off in the last building.
    4. Then there was a geographical change.
    5. Then there was a season of pruning.
      1. In the old building Eric Jones preached about pruning at Life Springs.
      2. NOW THE SEASON OF PRUNING IS OVER, IT IS THE TIME FOR HARVEST.
    6. One thing has remained over all the years – the family Spirit of God has stayed strong at Life Springs.
    7. GOD IS STAGING LIFE SPRINGS TO MOVE INTO DEEPER WATER.
  4. God has been doing amazing things in our lives – but it feels crazy.
    1. God is the straw that stirs the drink of our lives – God makes everything happen.
    2. Our lives from time to time need to be stirred by God – especially when we settle into life and complacency. Then things begin to go bonkers.
    3. Tribulation is when things go wrong, persecution is when people go wrong.
    4. When God stirs things, things begin to go wrong, THAT IS THE PERFECT ENVIRONMENT FOR A MIRACLE.
    5. Why does God stir up our lives?  GOD IS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT OUR TRANSFORMATION THAN OUR COMFORT.
    6. In order for Life Springs to move ahead, we cannot continue to do what we used to do.
    7. We need to be enlarged so God can pour more in.
  5. The principle of giving.
    1. No matter what we give to God, it creates a vacuum which He fills with new things.
    2. We are about to hear a clarion call, a fresh message which will first go around Liberty Hill, then out and beyond the city limits.
    3. Why?  God has something to say, and He is going to say it through us.
  6. There is nothing more encouraging than hearing the Lord.
    1. When God drops a word into your spirit and you know that you heard Him, it blesses our immensely.
    2. We need to begin by believing that we can hear and recognize God’s voice.
  7. Star Wars Analogy
    1. The most recent film had an important lesson. It was like a prophetic manifestation of the church.
    2. The main character obviously has some latent Jedi skills, but you never know this in the early parts of the movie, it was not until someone spoke a word that caused an activation of what was in her, and by the end of the movie she mighty.
    3. A word will be spoken that will activate what is already on the inside of us.
    4. GOD WANTS TO ACTIVATE THE ABILITIES AND CAPABILITIES HE HAS ALREADY GIVEN US.
